Recreate Ancient History in the Trang An Landscape Complex
This is one of the activities aimed at celebrating the 10th anniversary of Trang An being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site. It also promotes the image and outstanding global values of landscape, geology, geomorphology, and culture of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex.
At the program, delegates visited and experienced the exhibition space, recreating the cultural life of prehistoric residents, when the natural environment created favorable conditions for people to live and perform cultural activities. After landscape transformation, prehistoric people still adapted, developed, and preserved outstanding global cultural values. Humans have shaped the landscape and environment surrounding Trang An, and vice versa, the environment has also influenced many aspects of human production, residence, and cultural creation.
Trang An has been transformed by the sea many times. Changes in terrain, geology, and geomorphology over millions of years have shaped a masterpiece of natural architecture and landscape.
Nguyen Cao Tan, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism of Ninh Binh Province, said that the restoration of the ancient residents of Trang An aims to provide tourists with a perspective on the lives of ancient residents. At the same time, it helps future generations to understand and appreciate valuable historical lessons, organize human life in harmony with nature, and find ways to adapt to changes.
The Department of Tourism hopes that in the future when Khe Coc Island is completed and put into operation, it will become an attractive tourist destination imbued with the cultural content of the ancient land.
