RoK presents gifts to Da Nang in COVID-19 combat

The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in the central city of Da Nang has presented 200 gift packages to the locality in order to help it combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

The gifts were handed over to Dang Thi Kim Lien, President of the municipal Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, by Consul General Ahn Min-Sik on October 19.

The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in the central city of Da Nang has presented 200 gift packages to the locality in order to help it combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

The gifts, including food and necessities worth VND100 million (USD4,300 USD), were handed over to Dang Thi Kim Lien, President of the municipal Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, by Consul General Ahn Min-Sik on October 19.

At the meeting, Ahn highlighted the strong developments of the Vietnam-RoK cooperation and friendship over the past years, covering both cultural exchange and trade-investment.

Da Nang has been one of the most flavorist destinations of RoK tourists, he said.

Vietnam and the RoK are among the countries that have successfully contained the pandemic, he continued, expressing a hope that flights from the RoK to Vietnam and general and Da Nang in particular will be restored as soon as possible.

For her part, Lien spoke highly of cooperation and role of the RoK Consulate General in promoting exchange, friendship and economic-trade ties between Da Nang and RoK localities and partners.

The official said Da Nang has basically put COVID-19 under control and the local economy has shown signs of recovery.

Therefore, the two sides believed that flights between Da Nang and the RoK will soon be resumed in order to restore economic and cultural exchanges, thus contributing to tightening relations between Vietnam and the RoK, as well as between Da Nang and RoK localities and partners./.
