Seminar Discusses Vietnam's Ongoing Development in Recent Years
The seminar was co-chaired by Ha Hung Cuong, Chairman of the Fund, Tran Dac Loi and Doan Xuan Hung, Deputy Chairmen.
It was attended by Nguyen Phuong Nga, President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO); members of the Council of Vietnam Peace and Development Fund; Vuong Thua Phong, Former Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee for External Relations; leaders and officials of departments and units of VUFO standing agencies...
At the seminar, Nguyen Dang Quang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Peace and Development Fund, and Dr. Le Dinh Tinh, Director of the Foreign Policy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam presented an assessment of the global and regional situation in 2022 and forecast in 2023. Speakers also provided assessments and comments on Vietnam's foreign affairs in 2022 and main orientations in 2023.

The delegates also contributed ideas to identify the problems posed to foreign affairs in 2023, proposed initiatives to maintain the direction of people-to-people diplomacy, and contribute to the development of the country.
Speaking at the seminar, President Nguyen Phuong Nga said that VUFO always considers the research and advisory work of the Fund as one of the bright spots in VUFO's activities. Many of the Fund's analysis, evaluation, advice, and policy recommendations are used by VUFO as references in reports as well as comments to relevant agencies.
According to Nga, the seminars' reports and presentations were carefully and meticulously prepared, with many insightful and enthusiastic assessments and candid and suggestive ideas.

She agreed with reports and comments on the world, regional, and Vietnam's foreign affairs in 2022. President Nguyen Phuong Nga also said that foreign affairs is one of the decisive factors for Vietnam to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic and continue to grow.
In 2023, the world and regional situation is still complicated, VUFO President suggested that the Vietnam Peace and Development Fund focus on research on specific issues, thereby proposing initiatives to contribute to developing plans and tasks of the Union.
