The Union of Friendship Organizations of Soc Trang province coordinated with Project Vietnam Foundation (USA) on September 24 to present wheelchairs and gifts to local people with disabilities.

The delegation went to Nga Nam town to present over 80 wheelchairs and 80 gift packages including rice and necessities to people with disabilities in difficult circumstances in the area. In addition, the delegation also visited and presented 6 sets of Braille books to visually impaired students at the provincial School for Children with Disabilities.
According to the leader of the Soc Trang Union of Friendship Organizations, these are gifts sponsored by Project Vietnam Foundation with a total cost of over VND 230 million (USD 9,330) to accompany the local government in taking care of the health of people with disabilities, contributing to the good implementation of social security work in the locality. At the same time, the gifts help visually impaired students have enough textbooks to study on the occasion of the new school year.
