On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Korea, the Republic of Korea Embassy in Vietnam decided to implement this policy with the aim of promoting the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The policy will also help expand exchanges between the two sides in all fields, in line with development of relations between Vietnam and Korea, and ease applicants' difficulties due to complex and lengthy visa procedures.

In addition, the Republic of Korea Embassy in Vietnam and 15 designated travel agencies signed cooperation agreement to attract more Vietnamese visitors to Korea.

As reported, the total number of Vietnamese tourists to Korea reached 113,690 in the first 5 months of 2017, an increase of 29.3% compared to the same period last year.

Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Lee Hyuk recognized local travel agencies for their great contribution over the past years to the increase, and hoped that they will collaborate with the representative office of the Korean National Tourism Administration in Hanoi in bringing more Vietnamese to Korea in the coming time.

Furthermore, the Republic of Korea Embassy in Vietnam announced a detailed plan relating to the issuance of multiple entry visas for Vietnamese citizens. Accordingly, those who have entered South Korea on a visa at least once will be eligible for a multiple entry visa to Korea./.
