South Korea vs Ghana team news
According to Sportsmole, South Korea fans rejoiced in the return to fitness of Son Heung-min, who donned a protective mask against Uruguay after his recent eye socket fracture and came through the game unscathed.
However, fellow Premier League attacker Hwang Hee-chan - who was an unused substitute on Thursday - is dealing with hamstring discomfort and will not be able to feature here.
Bento has also been handed a concern over key centre-back Kim Min-jae, who has been dealing with calf discomfort and is classed as a doubt for the contest.

As for Ghana, Otto Addo lined up in a defence-heavy formation for the showdown with Portugal, which very nearly paid dividends, but the need for victory could see the Black Stars shift to a four-man defence here.
Addo should be working with all 26 players for Monday's meeting, where any change in system would likely put Mohammed Salisu's place at risk as Bukari and Kamaldeen Sulemana push to return in a more attacking setup.
Andre Ayew won the battle of the brothers with Jordan Ayew to start in the loss to Portugal, and the Al-Sadd man's goal last time out should be enough to see him retain his place alongside Williams.
Andre Ayew did train separately from the team alongside right-back Alidu Seidu on Friday, but there is nothing to suggest that the duo will not be ready for Monday.
As standard.co.uk reported, South Korea may once again be without Wolves forward Hwang Hee-chan, who missed the opener against Uruguay due to a slow recovery from a hamstring issue.
But talisman Son appeared to have no problem playing in that facemask to protect himself after surgery to fix facial fractures suffered on club duty with Tottenham. Hwang Ui-jo could be replaced by Cho Gue-sung in attack after South Korea failed to muster an attempt on target in their goalless draw with Uruguay. Ghana captain Andre Ayew trained separately on Friday but the former Swansea and West Ham striker is expected to be available.
South Korea vs Ghana prediction
The stakes are high in this encounter, with defeat ending Ghana’s hopes of qualification and anything less than a win for Korea making their path to the last-16 tricky with only Portugal left to play.
After a good first half against Uruguay, Paulo Bento’s side were dominated thereafter and lucky that the woodwork denied both Diego Godin and Federico Valverde.
After a dire first half, Ghana showed they are no pushovers against Cristiano Ronaldo and Co and were it not for Inaki Williams’ slip could have been celebrating a famous last-gasp point.

South Korea possible starting lineup:
(4-2-3-1, right to left): 1. S. Kim (GK) — 15. M.H. Kwon, 3. J. Kim, 4. M. Kim, 19. Y. Kim — 6. Hwang, 5. Jung — 17. S.Na, 10. J.Lee, 7. Son, — 16. U Hwang
Bento appeared to suggest that Kim's problem had been a consequence of his Champions League exertions with Napoli, helping his club top their group while conceding only six goals and handing out thrashings to Liverpool, Rangers and Ajax, as sportingnews.com reported.
It remains unclear whether the centre-back will be able to play after Bento said he did not yet have enough "data" to know.
Ghana possible starting lineup:
(5-3-2, right to left): 1. Ati-Zigi (GK) — 26. Seidu, 18. Amartey, 23. Djiku, 4. Salisu, 17. Rahman — 5. Partey, 21. Abdul Samed, 20. Kudus, —10. A. Ayew, 19. Williams
Kamaldeen Sulemana is a contender to start. The lightning-heeled Rennes winger was only on the bench for Ghana's defeat to Portugal after missing two straight matches with an ankle issue picked up in training.
Freiburg attacker Daniel-Kofi Kyereh has been out of club action with a muscle issue but came on as a substitute in his nation's opener.
South Korea vs Ghana Betting Tips Both teams to score is priced at evens (2.00) which seems to offer real value, while over 2.5 goals is available at 11/8 (2.37) which is a big price for any game at this World Cup. South Korea have been formidable defensively of late, but Ghana's two goals vs Portugal on matchday one highlight how they can find the net with ease when in form. The value here likely comes from South Korea following their opening matchday goalless draw but they've actually found the net in three of their last four matches and nine of their last 11, so don't be surprised if they do so again! |
1-1 draw
A draw could well beckon here though, which will leave the group finely poised before matchday three. The stakes are high in this encounter, with defeat ending Ghana’s hopes of qualification and anything less than a win for Korea making their path to the last-16 tricky with only Portugal left to play.
A real contrast of styles means this should be an end-to-end contest. South Korea will be invited to play on the front foot but could prove vulnerable to Ghana's counter-attacking threat.
The Black Stars' loss of first-choice goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott on the eve of the tournament was noticeable against Portugal as replacement Lawrence Ati-Zigi failed to inspire confidence in his defence and that is a concern.
In a game that both teams really need to win, a high-scoring draw is probably on the cards.
