Organised by the Ho Chi Minh city People’s Committee, the event saw the presence of Politburo member Dinh La Thang, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee, and many other officials.

It drew the participation of artists and actors, who performed 15 well-known songs on Ho Chi Minh city and its citizens.

The performance was pides into three parts.

In the first part, memories, the famous artists described emotion and hallmarks of Uncle Ho giving the city via the performance of songs, music and stage shows.

The second part mentioned initiative documents about rename Sai Gon - Gia Dinh to Ho Chi Minh city; the city people’s memories and emotions giving for Uncle Ho; valuable materials about renaming the city in 1976.

The end of the art program highlighted changes and development of Ho Chi Minh city in multi- fields of economy, education, culture, society, science & technology and others during 40 years ago./.
