Phan Cong Nguyen, the administrator of a Facebook group "Review Hoi An" group, has been wandering around to record the beauty of Hoi An ancient town as spring comes.

Nguyen was born in Nghe An and has lived in Hoi An for five years.

Considering the ancient town his second hometown, he often takes photos of Hoi An and posts them on his Facebook group.

Hoi An was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage in 1999.

In July 2019, Hoi An was elected by the Travel and Leisure travel magazine as the most attractive city in the world that year. Q

It is also the first tourist site in Vietnam honored by Google Doodle.

To welcome this year's Tet, many activities were held, such as the "Spring tourism in Hoi town" program which started to welcome tourists on Feb. 4. Q

The program introduces visitors to tangible and intangible cultural values of the ancient town, Tra Que vegetable village, and Thanh Ha pottery village.

It takes great efforts from the local authority and people over the last two years to reopen Hoi An tourism.

After testing negative for Covid-19, the first foreign visitors under the pilot “vaccine passport” program took a tour around the ancient town on Nov. 11.
