According to the agreement signed by Vietnam and Kuwait, the Kuwait government offers 8 scholarships in the school year 2023-2024 for Vietnamese students. The students of this program will spend one year learning Arabic at the Language Center at Kuwait University.

They are students from the two academic institutions, namely the Faculty of Oriental Studies - University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Ho Chi Minh City), and the Department of Arabic Language & Culture - University of Foreign Languages ​​ (Hanoi National University). While they have only spent two months of studying Kuwait, the students quickly and actively paricipated in school activities.

On December 10-11, the students prepared and hosted the Vietnamese booth at the cultural exchange event taking place at the Cultural Center of Kuwait University. They were supported by the Vietnamese Embassy in Kuwait to promote Vietnamese culture, attracting the attention of friends from other countries and teachers in the school.

One of the foods the Vietnamese students prepared was sticky sweet potato dessert. Visitors can try the food and also learn about the unique culinary characteristics from Vietnam. At the booth, there were also reference materials to help international friends learn about culture and tourism destinations in all three regions across the S-shaped country.

To make the booth eye-catching, the students joined hands to plan and decorate their display booth with vibrant, cheerful colors and details. The traditional "Ao Dai" also made the presentation of the booth more attractive.

Kuwait University is known as an international school in the Arabian Peninsula. This academic year, the university welcomes more than 270 students from many countries in the Gulf region such as Oman, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates,... as well as many other countries such as Indonesia, Mongolia. Ancient, Korean, Japanese, and American. The Vietnamese booth was one among 15 exhibition booths from different countries. The two-day event brought many opportunities for international students to learn more about each other's cultures around the world.

Student exchange activities at the Language Center of Kuwait University are an important part of cooperation between the two countries. Representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy in Kuwait shared that they will work with their counterparts in Kuwait to promote more scholarships for Vietnamese students and to seek cooperation opportunities to bring Kuwaiti students to Vietnam.
