Together with friends who are also local young people who loves photography, Thai has been running the famous "Lang Thang An Giang" (Wandering in An Giang) Facebook Group with more than 400,000 active members for more than 5 years.

The mountainous district within the delta
Thai was born and raised in Long Xuyen, An Giang. He shared that not many people know about An Giang's nature beauty other than floating markets or riverside. He often takes visitors to Tri Ton District so that they can explore the land from a higher view, literally.

Tri Ton is known as "the mountainous district in the middle of the delta". The district owned this title to the 614 high To mountain (also known as Phung Hoang Son mountain).
This is one of the seven mountains of the mysterious Seven Mountain (That Son) mountain range.

The early bird catches the worm. Thai catches the moment of the dawn leaving dancing shadows of the trees laying on the endless rice field. The wide lenses effect create a refreshing ton-sur-ton green for the land. Along with birds singing to welcome the new day, the awakening land appears in front of ones' eyes. Tà Pạ field represents his hometown's identity.
The nature lover often get together with friends amd hop on motorbikes and just drive. They stop anywhere anytime to snap whatever appeals to the camera. It is a tiring process but the work pays off when the uploaded photos got liked and shared by hundred thousands group members.
Hometown pride
People work in Ta Pa has been affected by Covid-19. The community in the To mountain area has over 75% Khmer ethnic group, economic life is mainly based on agriculture, including rice cultivation. Poor households should harvest rice and thresh it manually, it is hard work but the working atmosphere is very enthusiastic.
The farming practice of the local people is to focus on harvesting rice together in each area, from one field to another. Therefore, during the harvest season, the whole field will have different colors to create a unique charm of Tri Ton.
The tall palm trees are planted alternately on the small path of the fields, bringing the typical beauty of Tri Ton land.
At present, the plots of Ta Pa field have begun to ripen, scattered with some harvested plots, while in some other plots the rice has just sucked in milk and interspersed with the dark brown color of the stubble.
However, Thai said, the scene of this year's golden season is quieter and less crowded than previous years due to Covid-19.
