New Chinese Maritime Law Further Encroaches on Countries' Sovereignty

While the world is tired of the Covid-19 pandemic, worried about instability in Afghanistan, and dealing with other international crises, China has launched a new 'trick' in the Bien Dong Sea (known as East Sea or South China Sea) with its Newly Revised Maritime Traffic Safety Law which it said to be effective from September 1 and contain regulations causing public outrage.

The U.S. Navy sent a pair of ships to patrol in the vicinity of a mineral rights dispute between Malaysia and China in the South China Sea (Vietnam called the East Sea - BienDong) for the second time in a month while tensions are expected to rise in the South China Sea after Beijing's annual summer ban on fishing in the disputed waters drew protests from rival claimants.
