To contribute to completing the legal framework in bilateral cooperation, Minister To Lam suggested that the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Vietnam discuss with the Czech Republic’s relevant agencies the possibility of promoting the negotiation of the agreement on extradition between the two countries and sign the agreement on mutual legal assistance in criminal and civil matters, replacing the agreement signed in 1984.

The meeting, themed "Cohesive and Proactively Adaptive ASEAN in preventing and fighting against transnational crimes”, will be held online for the first time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
