The visit to Vietnam by US Secretary of Defence Mark Esper on November 20-21 aims to deepen the bilateral defence ties in a practical and effective manner, said Vietnamese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang.

The US wants to further promote extensive collaboration and defence ties with Vietnam for the sake of peace and stability in the region, US Secretary of Defence Mark Esper affirmed.

The US Defence Secretary’s visit to Vietnam aims to realise cooperation agreements in national defence between the two countries.
