The workshop "How to improve the food quality system? Benefits of applying organic standards of the European Union (EU) and Naturland to our food" was held by Naturland - the International Association for Organic Farming from Germany on October 27 in Hanoi.

During its 30 years of operation in Vietnam, German organization Konrad Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) has made significant contributions to the country's sustainable development. To recognize its contribution, a Certificate of Merit was conferred to KAS by the Vietnamese Prime Minister at its recent event.

Dr. Daniel Müller, ASEAN Regional Director of the German Business Association in Asia-Pacific, said that, despite the restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam's trade volume with the European Union (EU) and Germany still increased significantly and reached a record high.

"5 years in Vietnam left my family with good memories. When we return to Germany, we will contact the Vietnamese community to make friends," said Axel Blaschke, Resident Representative of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) in a meeting with Phan Anh Son, Vice President, General Secretary of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) in Hanoi on May 26.

Foreign companies are increasing their presence in Vietnam, as the Southeast Asian country rapidly increases in value added and becoming an attractive destination for major energy, technology exports in the region.
