On August 20 in Tokyo, the Vietnam-Japan agricultural trade and investment policy dialogue was held. The two sides discussed initiatives to capitalize on untapped opportunities in this sector between the two countries.

On December 14, the opening ceremony of the V-2023 U13 Vietnam - Japan International Youth Football Tournament took place at Binh Duong New City Stadium (Thu Dau Mot City). This year's tournament brings together 12 U13 teams from Vietnam, Japan, and Malaysia.
