In 968, Dinh Bo Linh put down the anarchy of the 12 warlords to become king under the name Dinh Tien Hoang. He named the country Dai Co Viet - the first centralized feudal state heralded a new era for Vietnam after a millennium under the rule of dynasties from the north.

Vietnam launches two COVID-19-themed postage stamps

Two sets of stamps under the theme “Joining hands to prevent and combat COVID-19” were issued Tuesday by the Ministries of Information and Communications and Health and Vietnam Post Corporation, in a bid to send a supportive message to front-line fighters, and raise citizens’ knowledge, responsibility, determination amidst the straining COVID-19 combat.
