The Vietnamese State and people will continue accompanying peace movements and peace lovers in the Japan and the world, including the Japan Council against Atomic and Hydrogen Bombs, President Vo Van Thuong has affirmed.

In the first half of the 20th century, humanity had to go through two world wars with an unprecedented scale and level of destruction and carnage. In particular, World War II killed tens of millions of people and marked the birth of nuclear weapons which is capable of eradicating human existence on earth.

The Vietnam Peace Committee has conducted many activities to contribute to Vietnam's people-to-people diplomacy, to the promotion and protection of Vietnam's national image and interests as well as the protection of human rights around the globe.
