The Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam relic will have a change in both its image, operation, and its approach to the public so that the special National Monument will promote its heritage value in the new normal.

That is the content of the Quoc Tu Giam Cultural Space project by the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities in collaboration with the non-profit cultural-educational organization Gavisto Diplomat and related units.

The Fanpage and Instagram Quoc Tu Giam Cultural Space was created to promote events as well as provide information about medieval Vietnamese history to readers in a easier and interesting way.

In early October, the project will organize a talk show "Taoism in the Cultural Space of Quoc Tu Giam" online, with the participation of experts and researchers. Experts will share about medieval Vietnamese education, Quoc Tu Giam's mission in transmitting and preserving the above values. In addition, they also shared about the vitality and form of transmission of these values in the context of modern education. Many programs to discuss Vietnamese history and culture have also been planned.

Hoang Doan Trang, representative of Gavisto Diplomat, said that the project aims to connect young people to the heritage space through close and interesting cultural and artistic activities. The project also helps young people arouse love with the history, culture of their country and join hands to preserve and inherit those values. In addition, the project also recreates teaching and learning activities at Quoc Tu Giam space, helping to turn the relic into a cultural space for all audiences, especially young people.

“Van Mieu is not only a place where scholars and students come to visit, but it also has Quoc Tu Giam, the first university in Vietnam, where the country's talents are trained. Therefore, the project wants the image of the monument to become closer to the life and culture of modern people,” she said.

Le Xuan Kieu, director of the Center, also affirmed the desire to renovate the image of Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam, so that the relic is not only a place to visit and offer incense, but also become a venue for cultural, scientific, educational activities, display of creative products, inspiration for creativity.

“The Center has applied new technology in promoting the value of the relic; develop tourism products and activities to serve visitors right in the post-lockdown period,” said Le Xuan Kieu.
