Thuringia State Facilitates Vietnam Human Resource Training

At the Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Bui Thanh Son on November 6 received Minister-President of Thuringia state (Germany) Bodo Rammelow on the occasion of his working visit to Vietnam.
Minister Bui Thanh Son affirmed that the Federal Republic of Germany and the State of Thuringia are important partners of Vietnam.
He expressed his belief that Minister-President Bodo Rammelow's visit to Vietnam will contribute to creating new development motivation for relations between Vietnam and Germany, as well as with the state of Thuringia particularly, meeting the interests of localities and businesses of the two countries.
To develop relations between the two countries effectively and practically, Minister Bui Thanh Son proposed that Minister-President Bodo Rammelow and the state government support the German National Assembly soon to ratify the Vietnam-EU Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA), thereby opening up new cooperation opportunities for the business community, investors, and localities of the two countries.
The two sides promote cooperation in fields such as agriculture, high technology, manufacturing, and processing, implementing cooperation within the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JEPT) framework, and committing to reduce emissions to zero by 2050.
Minister Bui Thanh Son said that the two sides need to expand cooperation in human resource training in many fields, as Vietnam has more than 200,000 people who were previously trained in Germany and are currently in the period of having a golden population.
He affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will support the state of Thuringia in connecting and cooperating with Vietnamese ministries, branches, localities and businesses.

Minister Bui Thanh Son believed that, with German qualifications and experience, the potential of the Vietnamese workforce, and appropriate training cooperation programs, cooperation between the two countries in this field will achieve practical results with specific projects.
Minister-President Bodo Ramelow expressed his pleasure to return to Vietnam for a working visit. He affirmed that the state of Thuringia wishes to become an effective and reliable partner of Vietnam.
Bodo Ramelow agreed with Minister Bui Thanh Son on measures to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation, in which the state of Thuringia is ready to act as a bridge for Vietnamese businesses to access the German and European markets.
He said Thuringia advocates accompanying Vietnam in the field of vocational training, focusing on programs to attract human resources to work in Germany as well as supporting vocational training establishments in Vietnam, especially in the fields of environment, energy conversion, circular economy, health, and nursing.
Minister-President Bodo Ramelow also shared the positive assessments of the government and people of Thuringia state about the contribution of the community of more than 4,000 Vietnamese people to the socio-economic development of Thuringia.
He said that the state government implemented many policies to ensure jobs, and social integration and maintain the cultural identity of the Vietnamese community in the state.
During the working visit to Vietnam, Minister-President Bodo Rammelow and the delegation will have meetings with ministries, branches, and localities including Hanoi, Phu Tho Province, and Da Nang City.
