Tightening bonds between Da Nang and Laos localities
(VNF) – The Liaison Committee for Overseas Laotian People on September 19 joined a working meeting with the Da Nang People’s committee.
The delegation was led by Head of the department Souvanna Phouyavong.
At the meeting, Deputy Chair of Da Nang city People’s Committee Tran Van Mien briefed the participants on the city’s socio-economic development stage, affirming Da Nang’s willingness to closely cooperate with Laos, particularly with Laos’ Southern province in multiple fields, such as: agriculture, education, defense, trade, etc.

According to Deputy Head of the city’s People’s committee Tran Van Mien, the municipal authority always tries it best to ensure Laotian people's legal right, and offer optimal conditions to citizens of Laos who are working and studying in Da Nang.

On behalf of the Laotian delegation, Souvanna Phouyavong expressed his delight to see the tighter bonds between Da Nang and Laos’ localities. He also extended thank to the authorities of Da Nang for the affection and attention for Laos and the people of Laos living in the city.
He also wished to see the closer ties between two countries’ people, and more robust growth and cooperation in the time to come./.
