Phan Van Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), stated that the Vietnam Trade Union is launching the "Trade Union Tet Market 2025" program. This initiative is a direct response to the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union's Resolution and the Executive Committee's Resolution No. 07/NQ-BCH dated August 29, 2024.

The program's objective is to provide trade union members and workers with access to high-quality goods and consumer products from domestic companies and organizations, ensuring they can purchase items that are not only quality-assured but also reasonably priced, with added benefits, cost-effectiveness, modernity, convenience, and promptness.

At the same time, this serves as a method to renew Trade Union organizations' activities to take care of its members on the Lunar New Year occasion, which contributes to bringing a warm Tet to union members, workers, and their families.

The "Trade Union Tet Market 2025" program is set to be organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, both online and traditionally, as well as by localities and units in a traditional format.

The program, under the auspices of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, is scheduled for mid-December 2024 in Hai Phong. The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has tasked the Hai Phong City Labor Federation with organizing the "Trade Union Tet Market 2025" event.

Phan Van Anh reports that the "Trade Union Tet Market 2025" will feature stalls offering essential goods and services at discounted prices, guaranteeing quality, including booths priced at 0 VND. It will also involve distributing gifts to union members and workers facing hardships, those with low incomes, and those with notable accomplishments in production, business, and union involvement. Additionally, there will be cultural, artistic, and sports events, along with traditional games, legal and health consultations, complementary medicine for union members and workers, and other activities tailored to the current situation.

The "Trade Union Tet Market 2025" online event will feature leaders from the Party, State, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, local Party committees, authorities, businesses, union members, and workers. This event is scheduled to take place from 00:00 on December 20, 2024, to 24:00 on January 20, 2025 (from November 20 to December 21 in the Giap Thin year 2024).

Through this initiative, union members and workers across the country have the opportunity to purchase goods and consumer products via the official online platform organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, in collaboration with various units, organizations, and enterprises.

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is set to offer financial assistance via vouchers to approximately 200,000 union members and workers. This support targets those with outstanding contributions in labor and production, active involvement in union activities, and who are still experiencing hardships and earning low incomes, enabling them to buy goods and consumer products.

Locally, entities like Provincial and Municipal Trade Unions, Central Industry Unions, and General Corporation Unions under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor are directed, based on their conditions and capabilities, to organize the traditional "Trade Union Tet Market 2025" program. This ensures appropriateness, significance, economy, and a focus on resources to support union members and workers.

The event is scheduled from January 1, 2025, to January 22, 2025 (corresponding to December 2 to December 23 in the Giap Thin year). Each program will last for at least two days.

Through the "Trade Union Tet Market 2025" initiative, the Vietnam Trade Union aims to engage Party committees, authorities, employers, and society at large in a collective effort to enhance the material and spiritual well-being of union members and workers. The program also seeks to deliver quality products, goods, and services from domestic enterprises and units to a broad base of union members and workers.
