Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Takes Care of Workers During Tet
	"Trade Union's Train Trip - Spring 2024" Held Simultaneously to Bring Workers Home for Tet

This text outlines the travel assistance included in the "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Dang" program, organized for union members and workers for the Lunar New Year of the Snake in 2025, as recently announced by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL).

In light of the Lunar New Year At Ty 2025, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is set to provide 400 one-way air tickets and 2,000 round-trip train tickets to workers. Workers from challenging family backgrounds or those from regions recently affected by natural disasters and floods will be prioritized. The initiative particularly targets union members and workers in the southern regions wishing to travel back to their hometowns in the northern provinces.

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is calling on provincial and municipal labor federations, central and equivalent industry unions, general corporation unions under its umbrella, trade unions at higher levels, and grassroots trade unions to consider the actual conditions and financial capabilities of their localities and units. They are asked to arrange activities that subsidize all or part of the transportation expenses for union members and workers. This initiative aims to facilitate their journey back to their hometowns for Tet celebrations and ensure their return to work is safe, convenient, and considerate.

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will organize activities to celebrate the Spring Festival and welcome Tet. They will visit and offer support to union members and workers who cannot return to their hometowns for the Tet celebrations.

Provincial and municipal labor federations, alongside central and equivalent industry unions, general corporation unions under the General Confederation, and trade unions at both superior and grassroots levels, should organize warm and joyful activities reflecting the Union's spirit, tailored to the circumstances of the union members and workers remaining in the area or unit. When numerous union members and workers are unable to return to their hometowns for Tet, they should arrange the "Tet not far from home" program or other suitable activities.

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor urges businesses and localities to collaborate in guaranteeing that workers are paid in full, receive their Tet bonuses, and that spring activities are organized, fostering a sense of care among workers during the significant holiday.
