US: Vietnamese-American students first perform Ao dai
An Ao dai (traditional long dress) show of designer Thuan Viet performed by Vietnamese – American students studying and living in the US was organize at American History of Natural History in New York on May 24th.
Students named An Vo, Bi Bi Tran, Simon Nguyen and Jessica Truong were chosen to wear the most beautiful traditional long dresses and made up like professional model models.
To help the young Vietnamese - American people remember the homeland, the organizing board decided to invite original Vietnamese students to perform instead of models.
Apart from designer Thuan Viet, seven other Asian designers from Bhutan, China, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Mongolia were also invited to participate in the show./.
