Mr. Pho Duc Phương, composer, Director of Viet Nam Centre for Protection of Music Copyright (VCPMC) was awarded Medal for Peace and Friendship among Nations in Hanoi on July 3rd.

VUFO President Vu Xuan Hong said, the Medal awarded to Mr. Phuong honored his significant contributions to the country’s music and people-to-people diplomacy.

Mr. Phuong is expected to continue his activities to achieve the Government’s goals in the policy of protection of copyright, to further develop network of internationl friends.

Despite many difficulties, he said, VCPMC has effectively connected with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and non-governmental organizations operarating in the field of intellectual property.

He hopes to have more contributions to the people-to-people diplomacy in the coming time./.
