The People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province on November 29 issued Decision No. 2811/QD-UBND approving the receipt of non-refundable aid that is not part of official non-project development assistance from the VESAF (Viet Nam Educational and Social Assistance Foundation) sponsorship worth more than VND 668 million (USD 27.480).

Accordingly, the VESAF will provide 152 scholarships in cash to students and students studying at four universities affiliated with Hue University, three high schools and primary schools in Thua Thien Hue.

VESAF is an international humanitarian organization operating from 2018 to present in the fields of educational support, rural development, generalization and relief nationwide for people in difficult circumstances.

The scholarships are also intended to support students with difficult circumstances and good and excellent academic performance at elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and universities in the 2023- 2024 school year while overcoming difficulties, partly contributing to upgrading the quality of learning for children.

The VESAF was founded in 2014 in Illinois, USA by a group of Vietnamese experts. In Vietnam, the VESAP operates in the fields of supporting educational development, building bridges and roads, and emergency relief.

Since its establishment, the organization has had many humanitarian projects in Vietnam such as building bridges in Vinh Long, Ben Tre and Tra Vinh provinces; making concrete roads in Ben Tre; providing scholarships to poor students in Quang Nam provinces; helping orphans in Da Nang city and poor families in Thua Thien Hue province.

In particular, the VESAF Scholarship Program is for typical students who are in difficult circumstances, study and practice well, and are recommended and selected by educational and training institutions.
