Italian cultural fair will feature some of the most iconic strengths, such as food, design, fashion, music, sports and much more.

Within the framework of the 45th anniversary of Italy-Vietnam diplomatic relations and building on the remarkable success of last year’s Italy-ASEAN Week, the Embassy of Italy in Hanoi has prepared a rich and multifaceted calendar of events aimed at showcasing the best of the Italian lifestyle, or “vivere all’italiana”, to bring Italy closer than ever to the Vietnamese public.

“Italian Cultural Fair / Piazza Italia” on November 10 and 11, the prestigious Hanoi Imperial Citadel will be turned into an Italian square (“Piazza Italia”) specially designed to take the public along an extraordinary path featuring: booths for Italian food & wine tasting (with the participation of the Italian gastronomical champions in Hanoi), exhibitions of Italian design creations (by the main Italian companies operating in Vietnam and by Vietnamese partners).

Speaking at a press conference on November 1, Italian Ambassador to Vietnam Cecilia Piccioni highlighted the fair as a chance to bring Vietnam closer to Italy via the display of Italian traditional food, wine, design, culture performance etc. included in the event.

"I think this event is also the most prominent feature of the cooperation between Vietnam and Italy," said Ambassador Cecilia.

"Every day here is something new to me. Each event is also a creation, a surprise. So, for me, every day, every event is special," she added. "There is a very moving and unforgettable event that is the first fashion show highlighting the beauty of people with disabilities. The first edition was held at Casa Italia in Hanoi. The next performances took place in Hue, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang ... Every time I recall I was very moved.”

This year, the youngest will be offered a special chance to play football coached by a selected number of trainers from Juventus F.C. Academy, as well as volleyball, badminton and đá cầu) and many funny entertainment like karaoke contest, “tombola” game and activities specifically designed for kids.

Another special thing is the outdoor musical performances with pa Hong Nhung as well as Italian and Vietnamese opera singers. In addition, a fashion show where Vietnamese models showcase fashion collections of Italian designers will be another highlight of the event./.
