Viet and Thai Students Seize New Opportunities in Academic and Culture Exchange
The MoUs signing ceremony took place in the presence of the Ambassador of Thailand to Vietnam Nikorndej Balankura, Nguyen Van Thanh, former member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Chairman of the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association; representatives of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, the Thailand - Vietnam Friendship Association, the Thai Chamber of commerce and Industry in Vietnam (ThaiCham), etc.

Dr. Ta Ngoc Cau, Vice President of FPT University, said that in order to realize the MOU, right in September, the school will send 90 students to Thailand to exchange and study. The number next year will be larger. FPT University also wishes to invite students from three Thai universities to visit.
"We want to provide students with the knowledge, soft skills, and cross-cultural experience so that they can compete and work anywhere in the world. We have an ambitious goal that we will send students to study abroad every year, so we are always looking for cooperation with universities in other countries."
FPT University organizes an annual International Day, in which Thai partners participate. FPT students love Thailand's country, culture, and cuisine, and many of them want to visit Thailand, said Cau.
According to Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, Rector of Khon Kaen University, FPT University, and Khon Kaen University have agreed to cooperate with the Embassy of Thailand, the Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Association, and the Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association to promote educational cooperation for many years to come.
This partnership facilitates the exchange of expertise, languages, and cultures, opens up opportunities for students to immerse themselves in a new learning environment, broadens their horizons, and prepares them well for a constantly evolving world.

KMUTT focuses on training in digital transformation, sustainable transportation, and smart healthcare. Meanwhile, FPT University has strengths in information technology, computer science, software engineering, and network security. Chawin Chantharasenawong, Vice Principal in charge of Training and International Cooperation of KMUTT said the two universities' strengths well complement each other. The two sides will continue to discuss cooperation initiatives in the short and long term.
Associate Professor Jirada Wuthayagorn, Institute of Linguistics, Chulalongkorn University said that right after the signing ceremony, the two universities will embark on the first cooperation project to put the MoU into practice.

"We will jointly organize an Intensive English program for FPT students at Chulalongkorn University this fall. FPT students will have a memorable and effective time studying and practicing English. They also have many opportunities to interact with international and Thai students," said Jirada Wuthayagorn.
Cooperation in education and human resources is an important aspect of the Vietnam-Thailand relationship. With the signing of these MoUs, the two countries show their determination to develop, and create opportunities for students to have a multicultural learning environment, and opportunities to develop in the fields of science, technology, and innovation. Through projects and exchanges, I believe that the universities will make strong contributions to the two countries' relations.
