Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Communist Party USA to Exploit Potentials to Cooperate
Phan Anh Son said that the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Communist Party USA have ample potential for cooperation. The two sides share common beliefs about Vietnam's path to socialism. The Communist Party USA has good relations with the Communist Party of Vietnam and socio-political agencies and organizations in Vietnam. Phan Anh Son suggested that the two sides coordinate in researching, exchanging, and sharing information; support each other's working groups at regional and international institutions and forums; and participate in programs and events organized by both sides.

Arturo Cambron, Member of the National Committee, Communist Party USA, said that the Vietnam trip was valuable to delegates, especially the young. Thanks to the trip, they better understand Vietnam and its path to socialism. This is a source of spiritual encouragement for Communist Party USA members. The Communist Party USA hopes to continue to coordinate and exchange information with the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations.
At the meeting, Phan Anh Son talked with the delegation about Vietnam's development and foreign policy; the structure, functions, and tasks of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations; the role and achievements of the Vietnam - USA Society in promoting relations and cooperation between the people of the two countries recently.

Previously, on March 2, the Communist Party USA delegation had a working session with Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Party Committee. The two sides agreed to promote cooperation to contribute to the friendly relations between the two Parties, States and peoples. While in Quang Ninh, the delegation visited Ha Long Bay and locations in the Van Don Economic Zone.
On March 5, the Communist Party USA delegation visited the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee. The delegation had a working session with Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam. The two sides discussed plans for cooperation in developing the Vietnam-US youth movement.
