(VNF) - Tourism website Skyscanner has highlighted the best, friendliest and safest places to travel alone in Asia. Vietnam ranked first place on the list.

According to Skyscanner, when it comes to safety, Vietnam is, hands down, one of your best bets in Asia.

In 2017, Global Peace Index ranked Vietnam as the 59^th safest country in the world, beating the likes of the United States, Greece, and South Africa. But, Vietnam’s safety isn’t the only reason why it has made its way to our list of the best and safest places to travel alone in Asia.

As you travel across Vietnam, you’ll be swept into bliss by its enthralling sights, such as Ha Long Bay, My Son Sanctuary, Sapa’s landscapes, and the sand dunes of Mui Ne.

In 2016, Vietnam ranked 6^th on the list of safest places for women to travel solo by the UK newspaper The Telegraph. The country also among the top 10 best places to travel solo, according to a poll of the Rough Guides’ readers.
