The Vietnamese delegation, led by Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, visited booths displaying products from several major businesses and corporations around the world, as well as watched demonstrations by the Singaporean, Indian, US, South Korean, Chinese, Indonesian, and Australian air forces, as well as some international civil airlines.

Within the framework of the exhibition, the delegation met with partners to discuss common concerns and bilateral cooperation.

During a meeting with Czech Republic Deputy Minister of Defense Daniel Blazkovec, Son expressed gratitude to the Czech people for their invaluable assistance in Vietnam's historical struggle for national liberation as well as its nation-building cause. He celebrated the remarkable results achieved through bilateral defense cooperation in recent years and hoped that the two nations would continue to cooperate in various areas such as delegation exchange and training.

Meeting with Assistant Secretary of the US Air Force Andrew Hunter, the head of the Vietnamese delegation proposed that the two sides strengthen cooperation based on signed documents, with a focus on promoting collaboration in training, rescue, and military medicine, as well as joining United Nations peacekeeping missions and overcoming war consequences in Vietnam.

The Singapore Airshow is Asia's biggest air show, organized biennially. This year, more than 1,000 aviation and defense businesses from 50 nations and territories took part, including industry titans such as Airbus, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin.

For the first time in four years, the biennial Singapore Airshow is open to the public. The previous edition of 2022 was closed to the public owing to the Covid-19 pandemic. This year's display will be open on February 24-25.
