Vietnam Enhances Tourism Cooperation with The UK, India
The Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Management Board has just held a working session and signed a memorandum of cooperation on biodiversity research and cave exploration tourism with Yorkshire Dales National Park (UK).
The two national parks will cooperate and share experiences in land management and biodiversity conservation as well as tourism management, development and services.
The central province of Quang Binh targets to welcome 4.5-5 million visitors in 2024, and earn more than USD 220 million from tourism next year.
In 2024, the province plans to focus on investing in tourism infrastructure, and developing new tourism products such as eco-tourism, cultural and historical tourism, and community tourism to meet the demand of travelers.

The Indian Consulate with the support of the Lam Dong provincial government organized a cultural and tourism promotion exchange program between tour operators associations of Ladakh and Samten Hills, Da Lat city.
For the first time, a thirty-member delegation comprising of senior officials, tour operators and cultural groups from Ladakh visited Da Lat and Samten Hills. Positive discussions held on the promotion of Ladakh and Samten Hills by tour operators of both sides.
Both sides also entered into multiple agreements. In the evening, before an audience of 500, the cultural troupe from Ladakh performed classical and modern cultural performances.
Tashi Gyalson, Chief Executive Councilor of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, said India and Vietnam are strengthening bilateral cooperation in many fields, ranging from enhancing trade and cultural exchange and economic cooperation to human connection.
The provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism pointed out that the cultural and tourism exchange program with the artists and businessmen group from Ladakh has created new progress, on spirit of cooperation and development in the field of tourism; understanding the market, connecting to attract investment in the field of tourism - services; thereby contributing to the development of tourism in Da Lat in particular and Lam Dong in general towards safety, high quality and sustainability in the coming time.
According to the Lam Dong People’s Committee, the province welcomed 8.65 million tourists in 2023, including 400,000 foreign visitors, an increase of 167% over the same period last year. In particular, the number of foreign visitors to Da Lat city this year increased sharply, of which Korean visitors accounted for 80%.
