Vietnam Entrepreneurs Establish New Association in Mongolia

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Chairman of the Association of Vietnamese in Mongolia Nguyen Huy Tuan said that in the context that the two countries are focusing on promoting economic, trade and investment relations, the Vietnam Entrepreneurs Association in Mongolia wants to promote the role in strengthening relations, contributing to the economic development of the two countries.
With a pioneering role, the Association and businessmen with long-term experience will support the Vietnamese community to reduce risks in investing in the host country. They help build a united, cohesive, supportive and mutually supportive Vietnamese business community in Mongolia.
Attending online, Peter Hong, standing vice chairman and general secretary of the Business Association of Overseas Vietnamese, hoped that the Association would always look to the homeland, uphold the principles and efforts to connect businessmen of the two countries.
The Association strives to meet the needs and expectations of its members when joining the Association, while promoting its role as a people-to-people diplomatic channel, promoting investment and trade activities between the two countries.
Head of the Department of Economic and Trade Cooperation under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia G. Ulziisaikhan emphasized that the establishment of the Association is of great significance in expanding cooperation between small and medium enterprises of the two countries.
He thanked the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese business community in Mongolia for their work to promote the development of Mongolia-Vietnam cooperation.
He said that the two sides still have a lot of potential for economic and trade development, and suggested that the two sides consider promoting trade in products that the two sides have strengths.
Vu Ba Phu, director of the Trade Promotion Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade, hopes that the Association will promote its roles and functions well, bringing practical benefits to the businesses of the two countries.
He said bilateral trade turnover between Vietnam and Mongolia nearly doubled, from US$41.4 million (in 2017) to about US$85 million (in 2022), and about US$45 million in the first six months of this year.
Vietnam's exports to Mongolia are mainly phones, components, cleaning products, and rice. Vietnam imports mainly from Mongolia all kinds of leather and chemicals.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Mongolia Doan Khanh Tam emphasized that the birth of the Vietnam Entrepreneurs Association in Mongolia is an important event, marking the maturity of Vietnamese entrepreneurs after more than 20 years of investing and settling in Mongolia.
It opens a new phase, the stage of jointly building a collective, a Vietnamese business community that unites, supports and helps each other do business effectively in Mongolia.

The Ambassador said that the Vietnam Entrepreneurs Association in Mongolia was born in the context of the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Mongolia making good progress towards the 70th anniversary of the diplomatic relations (November 17, 1954 - November 17, 2024).
He believes that under the leadership of Nguyen Huy Tuan, a successful Vietnamese businessman in Mongolia, the Association will gather all Vietnamese businessmen in Mongolia and grow stronger.
Ambassador Doan Khanh Tam also suggested that Mongolian agencies continue to create favorable conditions to support the Vietnam Entrepreneurs Association in Mongolia to operate effectively.
He hoped the Association will make positive contributions to promoting economic, trade, and investment relations between the two countries, strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Mongolia.
