Delegation of Mongolian Province Visits Vietnam to Promote Cooperation

A delegation from the Mongolian province of Tuv, led by Ts. Jambalsuren, Chairman of the provincial People's Council, worked in Hoa Binh province on November 10-15 of this month. In 2018, the Tuv province signed a memorandum of cooperation with Vietnam's Hoa Binh province, and in 2019, three additional memorandums of cooperation were signed in the fields of agriculture, culture, tourism, and education.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man on November 14 hosted a reception for a delegation from the Mongolian province of Tuv, led by Ts. Jambalsuren, Chairman of the provincial People's Council.

Man spoke highly of the delegation’s visit, saying it took place in the context that Vietnam-Mongolia traditional and friendly relations are developing well and the two sides are looking towards celebrating the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties in 2024.

Since the start of this year, the two countries have successfully implemented a number of activities, including the Vietnam-Mongolia Business Forum in June and the 18th session of the Vietnam-Mongolia Intergovernmental Committee in September, he said, adding that Mongolian Airlines has officially opened its first direct route between Vietnam and Mongolia, thereby creating favorable conditions for their people and businesses to travel and promote trade.

He emphasized that parliamentary relations between the two countries have constantly been consolidated and developed.

To contribute to developing cooperation between the two countries in general, and between their localities in particular, the NA Vice Chairman suggested that the leaders of Tuv and Hoa Binh provinces facilitate agricultural cooperation, market research, joint activities between enterprises of the two sides as well as import and export of agricultural products.

He also called for the two sides to promote student exchanges, and collaborate in tourism, preservation, and the development of cultural heritage.

For his part, Ts. Jambalsuren said that his visit aimed to concretize the contents of the memorandum of understanding signed in 2018 between his council and its Hoa Binh counterpart. He promised to work with Hoa Binh for effective cooperation, contributing to enhancing the two countries' partnership.

Earlier, on November 11, the delegation led by Ts.Jambalsuren, paid a working visit to the northern province of Hoa Binh and held talks with the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Bui Duc Hinh.

Jambalsuren emphasized that there are many similarities between the two localities to promote cooperation for mutual development, especially in clean agriculture, tourism, education, and culture.

He said he hopes the two sides will work hard to realize Memorandums of Understanding on cooperation signed in 2018 and 2019, and further strengthen cooperation and experience sharing among elected bodies, and in education and training.

Addressing the event, Mongolian Ambassador to Vietnam Jigjee Sereejav expressed his belief that the two sides will reach a consensus in order to accelerate the implementation of cooperation programs and projects in the coming time.

Representatives of the two localities agreed to further boost cooperation in the future, focusing on preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, enhancing agricultural and trade link and tourism development.

The same day afternoon, the Mongolian delegation paid a courtesy call to the Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phi Long and met Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh Bui Van Khanh.

During the visit, the delegation also visited the activities of Hydropower Plant, Industrial and Tourism Zone of Hoa Binh province.
