Vietnam finalist in Asia’s Next Top Model 2017

(VNF) - Vietnamese model Nguyễn Minh Tú, 24, has officially been named one of the three finalists in Asia’s Next Top Model 2017.

The young model chose a classic style to impress the judges in the photoshoot challenge.

“The retro theme helped me to portray a range of emotions.” Tu said. By focusing on her facial expressions and merging into the character in front of the camera, she attempted to avoid redundant body movement.

Tu was awarded a score of 39 by the panel of judges for her performance, putting her in second place behind Shikin from Malaysia and ahead of Maureen from the Philippines.

“I am totally captivated by your performance,” said creative director Yu Tsai, one of the four judges.
Minh Tu, born 1993, is a young model from Saigon, Vietnam. With the impressive height of 1.78m, she entered the fashion world as a teenager.

Tu became well-known sinced reaping the Silver award of the Vietnam Super Model competition 2013.

She is recently getting more popular since being consecutively invited to perform in various shows of the New York Fashion Week in US.

The result Tu gained in the Asia Next Top Model 2017 has so far been the highest one achieved by a Vietnamese contestant after 5 seasons of the show.

The final round of the show will be on aired at 8 pm (Vietnam time, GMT+7) on Starworld channel./.
