Prof., Dr. Le Ngoc Thanh, Director of Hospital E delivered his scientific report on total endoscopic atrial septal defect repair by using four-trocar technique with less than 1cm wide at the Cardio-Thoracic Surgery Conferences on March 11-14th in the United Kingdom.

This was the first time Dr. Thanh has introduced this technique to the world and the technique has been highly appreciated by over 1,000 doctors and scientists from all over the world, including those from the US, Ireland, Japan, and China.

The total endoscopic atrial septal defect repair technique is difficult, which can be performed by only four medical centers in the United Kingdom.

This technique has been proven to be feasible, safe and effective, with less surgical trauma, ensuring early recovery and better cosmetic results.

Accordingly, Prof., Dr. Le Ngoc Thanh hoped that the technique would be applied more widely for the benefit of patients in the coming time./.
