“Vietnam Lah! 2019” fair introduces Vietnam’s culture and specialties in Singapore

The fair, held on the occasion of the 74th National Day of Vietnam (September 2) and the mid-Autumn festival, aims to introduce Vietnamese culture to international friends and Singaporean people in particular.

Vietnam Lah! 2019: Homecoming with the theme "Homecoming" brings participants back to Vietnam.

The audience experience the differences and persity of Vietnamese culture throughout 3 different regions: The North, The Central, The South.

Participants experience traditional and cultural activities, meaningful folk games which originate from the North to the South, as well as enjoy traditional food delicacies of each region.

Following this is a series of unique cultural performances, combined with the traditional Vietnamese Mid Autumn Festival, bringing this festival to Vietnamese children born and raised in Singapore.

Visitors to the event can experience perse cultural traits with various folk games and specialties of all regions of Vietnam.

President of the Vietnamese Students Association in Singapore Mai Tuan Minh said the fair is hoped to connect the Vietnamese community and promote the country’s images in Singapore.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Tri Khue Phuc, who has lived and worked in Singapore for 17 years, said the event has helped her children understand more about Vietnamese culture and reach out to other OVs in Singapore.
