What are the main results of the WEF and the outstanding mark of Vietnam in participating in this meeting?

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation attended the 15th Annual Meeting of the New Champions of the World Economic Forum (WEF) with the theme "New Growth Horizons" in Dalian, China from June 25 - 27.

The meeting attracted the participation of 1,700 delegates. This is where new ideas, new fields, pioneering and innovative models are created that will shape the economic sectors of the future.

This year's meeting assessed that the world economy has shown positive signs of recovery, in which many developing countries have risen, and have the potential to catch up with other countries in a number of key areas.

The conference discussed the role of science and technology, innovation, and new industries to create breakthroughs, open up new development space, and promote a new growth cycle in the context of the world economy with many potential risks and challenges.

The Vietnamese delegation left outstanding marks at the meeting.

Host country China as well as the organizing committee showed great respect and appreciation for the role and position of Vietnam.

Therefore, WEF has invited the Prime Minister to consecutively attend WEF in Tianjin (China) in 2023, WEF in Davos (Switzerland) in early 2024 and this time WEF in Dalian (China).

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is one of two heads of State/Government invited by WEF, and host country China to attend the meeting. At this event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese high-level delegation brought many important messages to the port city of Dalian.

The PM's keynote address at the event resonated with an audience of 1,700 attendees from 80 countries. He delivered a clear, profound message about Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements, policies, vision, and strategic orientation for national development.

The Prime Minister also talked to partners and businesses, demonstrating Vietnam's spirit of renewal, and strong determination to transform its growth model, and create a favorable environment for investors.

His remarks were applauded by the business community, who expressed their interest in investing and doing business in Vietnam, especially in new industries.

How do you evaluate the results of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's talks, meetings, and work in China?

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's business trip to China took place in the context of good development of Vietnam-China relations.

In particular, after two historic visits of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to China (2022), General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping to Vietnam (2023), the two sides agreed to deepen and elevate the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, building a Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future.

During his trip to China, Prime Minister Chinh met with senior Chinese leaders, and received the leaders of some big Chinese corporations.

These meetings were aimed at consolidating and enhancing political trust, improving bilateral relations, and affirming the high regard of the Party and State for bilateral relations and their position in the overall foreign policy of each country.

The two sides discussed in depth, and agreed on specific directions and measures to boost cooperation in the near future. They agreed to continuously strengthen the solid social foundation for the development of bilateral ties. The leaders of the two countries agreed to properly handle disagreements and work together to preserve a peaceful and stable environment.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and high-ranking Chinese leaders affirmed the high regard of each side's Party and State for bilateral relations, as well as the special role and position of bilateral relations in overall foreign policy of each country.

Accordingly, the Prime Minister affirmed that strengthening and developing friendly relations and cooperation with China is an objective requirement, strategic choice, and top priority in Vietnam's foreign policy.

Senior Chinese leaders emphasized attaching importance to relations with Vietnam, identifying this as a priority direction in China's overall neighboring foreign policy.

The two sides discussed in depth and agreed on specific directions and measures to promote cooperation in various fields in the coming time.

The two sides affirmed the importance of effectively implementing the Vietnam-China Joint Declarations reached during the visits of the two General Secretaries of the two Parties.

This adds new strong driving forces, opens up many new opportunities for cooperation, constantly enriching the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, and the strategically meaningful Community of Shared Future between the two countries.

The two sides consolidated a solid social foundation for the development of bilateral relations.

They agreed to consider this a "systematic project" to diligently promote the traditional friendship between Vietnam and China.

The two sides strive to well deploy and improve the effectiveness of friendly exchange mechanisms such as the People's Forum and the Vietnam-China Youth Festival. China will soon begin providing 1,000 scholarships to Vietnamese Chinese teachers, providing information about the traditional friendship of the two Parties and countries, foster cooperation in tourism and aviation.

The two sides also agreed to continue to strictly implement agreements and common perceptions of senior leaders, complying with international law.

They effectively control and adequately handle disagreements, contributing to maintaining peace and stability in the region and the world.
