Fun&Sun, one of the leading travel companies in Russia, recently launched a flight program to Cam Ranh in the southcentral province of Khanh Hoa with a stopover in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on Scat Airlines flights. As the company noted, the number of passengers on the first flights is at almost 80% of capacity.

“Demand is approximately at the level of 2022, but for the New Year, of course, it is higher. Tourists mostly request tours from 9 to 16 nights. The top 3 resorts include Nha Trang, Mui Ne, and Phan Thiet, the same as a year ago,” the company said, as cited by VOV.

Fun&Sun also revealed that it sent approximately 3,000 Russian tourists to Vietnam last winter season.

Meanwhile, Russian Express shared that its sales of tours to Vietnam have increased by 30% compared to last year.

Russtd noted that tourists from this market tend to head to several resorts located throughout the southern region in the lead up to New Year celebrations.

Vietnam recorded about VND628.3 trillion (over %25.8 billion) in total earnings from tourists during January - November, said the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT).

The country served 103.2 domestic tourist arrivals during the 11 months, concentrating on May - July, especially June with 13.5 million travelers. The November figure stood at 4.5 million.

They included over 1.23 million arrivals in November, up 11% month on month and also the highest monthly number of international tourists since the beginning of this year, statistics show.

Vietnam initially aimed at 8 million foreign tourists in 2023, but the number already approximated 8.9 million during the first nine months, equivalent to 111% of the initial target. Therefore, the ministry proposed the Government raise the target to 12.5 - 13 million for this year./.
