Vietnam sends 5 athletes to compete at Asian Weightlifting Champs 2015
(VNF) - The nation has decided to send 5 athletes to compete at Asian Weightlifting Champs 2015 in Phuket (Thailand) from September 3rd-12th.

The names of the athletes are Tran Le Quoc Toan, Nguyen Tran Anh Tuan, Nguyen Ngoc Trung, Nguyen Thi Thuy and Vuong Thi Huyen.

Top male Vietnamese weightlifter Thach Kim Tuan was absent due recovering from an injury, with the Vietnam national weightlifting squad hopes to see his best energy for the upcoming world tour in the US next November. The World Weightlifting Tour 2015 will take place in Houston from November 19th-28th.

Tran Le Quoc Toan becomes the best name for the team, by winning 3 golds on the national weightlifting tour 2015 in the men’s 56kg category. Earlier, he also bagged a gold in the men’s 56kg category of the Southeast Asian Weightlifting Champs 2015 in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya (Thaidland) last June.

After this tour (the 26th Asian Championships for women and the 45th for men), Vietnamese athletes will attend a training course in Hungary.

Once earning a berth in the Olympic 2016 in Brazil, Vietnamese weightlifters will travel to practice in the US to adapt themselves with the same time zone and weather conditions./.
