During his stay in Tanzania from November 12-14, Binh, who is also Vice Chairman of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee's Commission for Information and Education, held talks with Secretary-General of the Party of the Revolution of Tanzania Daniel Chongolo and met with representatives of its commissions, and leaders of the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA).

At these working sessions, Binh briefed the hosts on the role of the Steering Committee for External Information Service, as well as Vietnam's socio-economic achievements over the past time, especially in information and communications.

The official emphasized that Vietnam treasures and wishes to promote the friendship and traditional relations between the two Parties, and suggested leaders of the Tanzania Party and Government foster close ties with their Vietnamese counterparts.

The Tanzanian officials also noted their hope that the two Parties and States will further enhance the traditional friendship, maintain high-ranking delegation exchanges, and strengthen cooperation across spheres, including information and communications.

Binh presented a book on some theoretical and practical issues on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, and another on sentiments of the world's people towards President Ho Chi Minh to Chongolo.

On this occasion, Binh and his entourage also visited Halotel, a telecommunications joint venture invested by Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms in Tanzania.
