Vietnam targets 10-15 seats at 2016 Summer Olympics

Four Vietnamese athletes have so far qualified for the Olympic Games, including two marksmen Hoang Xuan Vinh and Tran Quoc Cuong, swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien and field athlete Nguyen Thi Huyen.

The four won tickets to the Olympics next summer as a result of their outstanding performance at the 28 th Sea Games recently held in Singapore.

Anh Vien’s records at the games exceed three A standards of the world championships for Women’s 400-metre freestyle, Women’s 200-metre inpidual medley and Women’s 400-metre inpidual medley events.

Nguyen Thi Huyen brought home two gold medals in two inpidual events – Women’s 400-metre hurdles and Women’s 400-metres – and one gold in the 4x400-metre relay./.
