Vietnamese Auction Gala Spreads Christmas Cheer in US
For 2021, Vong Tay Nuoc My or VTNM (The American Embrace) - the annual year-end event host by Vietnamese Youth and Students Association in US has returned with many breakthroughs despite the Covid-19 situation. To celebrate the holiday spirit while adapting to the new normal at the States, the event has a series of exciting activities from Dec. 17 to Dec. 19, such as a welcome night, a career conference, a soccer tournament, E-sport matches, and a city tour.

One of the highlights in VTNM 9 is the Gala night with meaningful speeches from Ambassador Ha Kim Ngoc and Deputy Minister Pham Quang Hieu. Thousands of participants, both online and offline, joined to celebrate Vietnamese culture and to contribute to spread the warmhearted wonder during the fight against the global pandemic.
Hope Around The Globe
With the theme "Hope Around The Globe," the mission of this year's event is to transmit positive energy to help the Vietnamese youth community in the US, in Vietnam, and anywhere in the world towards a bright future. The organizer focused on the community's benefits and the traditional activities to pass down for the future generations to come.

VTNM 9 kicked off the program with the Welcome night on Dec. 17. It welcome guests, including Vietnamese community and local friends to a Western-cowboy style bond fire, live music, full of exciting games and outdoor activities.
The first night successfully wrapped up with approximately 1.700 online participants. It hyped up everyone for two dynamic days.
Sport tournaments and Career conference
On Dec.18, the VENUSA Cup 2021 football tournament took place. Eight teams from all states across the United States competed in the tournament, showing off their athlete abilities and vigorous energy.

The Career conference is particularly popular among young Vietnamese across the United States. This event embraced the free-spirited theme of the Welcome night and invited people to friendly sessions like Fireside chat, Mock interview.
This is an attractive opportunities for Students and professionals Vietnamese across the United States to demonstrate their abilities and knowledge in employers in diverse sectors.

In addition, the mock interviews created an opportunity for 40 mentor-student pairs, an increase of 25% compared to previous years.The live event also attracted 70 guests in Dallas.
At the live event, Vietnamese experts in the US shared their experiences in career development strategies and job-seeking skills in post-Covid-19.
The career seminar by Nguyen Huong Giang from VinFast of VinGroup was one of the most anticipated side activities. Students and young professionals also participated in the roundtable discussions of prominent individuals in many fields, such as Technology, Business, STEM, Academia.

On the final night in Dec. 19. VTNM 9 hosted a fundraising auction final with photos of famous Vietnamese artists and photographers like Tran Minh Dung, painter Xuan Lam, Phung Banh and Duy Vo. About US $5000 USD from the auction of 21 paintings/photos was raised, exceeded the organizer's expectations.
The auction from Nov. 27 to Dec. 18 was a story about the beautiful motherland told by Vietnamese around the globe. Vietnam Youth and Students Association in the US and VTNM 9 had successfully connected Vietnamese individuals and organizations in the US and many countries around the world to develop fundraising initiatives and professional support. It helps spread hope through art works of the country and people of Vietnam.

Each year, many meaningful activities by overseas Vietnamese communities like VTNM help continue positive relations with the USA and provide meaningful spaces for the Vietnamese citizens abroad.
