Vietnamese ceramic and porcelain exports to US market lead the way in turnover

Th first seven months of 2020 witnessed Vietnam's ceramic and porcelain exports to the US take the lead in turnover, accounting for 20% of the country’s total exports, a year-on-year rise of 14.7% to US$61.33 million, according to figures released by the General Department of Customs.

Vietnamese ceramic and porcelain products were shipped to over 30 foreign markets, enjoying an export turnover exceeding USD 309 million, representing a boost of 3.4% on-year, according to VOV.

The US, Japan, and Taiwan (China) remain the markets that make up the largest turnover, accounting for approximately 45% of overall national export turnover.

According to the General Department of Customs, exports of ceramics in the first 7 months of 2020 increased by 3.4% over the same period in 2019. Among more than 30 export markets for ceramic products, the US, Japan, and Taiwan are still the market with the largest turnover, accounting for nearly 45% of the total merchandise export turnover of Vietnam.

Ceramic exports to the US market always lead the way in turnover, accounting for 20% of Vietnam's total merchandise exports, reaching USD 61.33 million, up 14.7% over the same period in 2019. Japan is the second largest market in terms of ceramic exports, accounting for 15% of Vietnam's total ceramic exports.

The General Department of Customs said that the export of ceramics in the first 7 months of 2020 reached USD 309.22 million, up 3.4% over the same period in 2019. In July 2020, exports of goods reached USD 46.98 million, up 10.6% over June 2020 and up 0.87% over the same month in 2019, reported by Vinanet.

Ceramics exports to the US market always lead the way in turnover accounting for 20% of our country's total merchandise exports, reaching US $ 61.33 million, up 14.7% over the same period in 2019. Ceramic exports in the first 7 months of 2020 had mixed fluctuations. In some markets, including Argentina, Canada, and Hong Kong, the decline was over 50% over the same period last year. Some countries increase strongly in turnover such as Sweden, China, Denmark.

Japan was the second largest market in terms of ceramic and porcelain exports, making up 15% of all Vietnamese ceramic exports.

Throughout the opening seven months of 2020, ceramic and porcelain exports faced mixed fluctuations, with some markets including Argentina, Canada, and Hong Kong, suffering a decline of over 50% from the same period last year. Indeed, some of the nation that enjoyed a spike in export turnover were Sweden, China, and Denmark.
