The art program "The Eternal Flow" taking place on Vietnam National Day (December 30) will be the highlight at Expo 2020 Dubai, UAE.

The main venue is the Central Square in the world exhibition area with the Al Wasl Plaza dome.

According to the Department of International Cooperation (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), the program "Endless Flow" aims to introduce to the world a Vietnam with a rich culture, imbued with national identity and cultural quintessence formed over thousands of years of history. “The program will portray a panorama of a colorful Vietnam with cultural characteristics stretching from North to South, all forming a symphony blended with majestic poetic features of Vietnam's mountains and rivers," said Nguyen Phuong Hoa, director general of the Department of International Cooperation.

Vietnam National Day is the most important event of Vietnam at EXPO 2020 Dubai. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with related ministries, branches and units, has planned a variety of activities such as flag raising ceremony, parade, art performance program, fashion show and Vietnamese film week.

The program contributes to promoting the cultural value of traditional brocade weaving; introduce to domestic and foreign tourists about the application products of the ethnic groups in Vietnam. This is also an opportunity to support brocade weaving products to enter the international market, aiming to build a national brand in the brocade-based garment and culture industry. "The Eternal Flow" introduces the image of the country and people of Vietnam with beautiful natural scenes, rich and colorful traditional culture, potential strengths to develop tourism, and continue to conserve and promote the traditional cultural identity of the ethnic groups in Vietnam.

The international public will learn about handmade textile products of ethnic groups through unique applied fashion collections by designers Diego (brand Chula), Vu Viet Ha, Ly Qui Khanh.

The program has the presence of Miss H'Hen Nie - the representative of "The Endless Flow," many domestic and international beauty queens, runner-ups, and models.

More than 150 artists, artisans and actors will have two performances a day, to introduce the quintessence of Vietnamese culture and art to the international public.

The highlight of the event is "The Legend of the Dragon and the Fairy's Descendants," which will be first told to the world by top-notch Mapping technology on the world's largest 360-degree dome system (Al Wasl Dome Mapping Visual), creating a magical effect that will captivate billions of audiences around the world.

The dome has a diameter of 130m, surrounds a space of 724,000m3 (equivalent to the volume of 300 Olympic swimming pools) and has a height of 67.5m (higher than the leaning tower of Pisa) is one of the largest submersible projection surfaces in the world today. Any sound or light that is projected onto the dome will be looked and felt the same from every position. That is the difference, and uniqueness of this "stage".

General director Huy Nguyen said: “At first we didn't think that telling a 5-minute story on a 360-degree dome would be so difficult. We have worked with sound effects outsourcing companies in the US to assist with this technology. Those leading units were also surprised with a super sound system of the Al Wasl dome. To project onto the dome with a diameter of up to 130m, the organizers had to equip 252 projectors."
