Hai Anh will present a solo performance on August 10 and perform with Odyssey Dance Theatre Ltd artists at Victoria Theatre on August 16.

On August 17, her Vietnamese colleagues Ha Loc and Nhu Y from Unicorn Art Co Ltd will perform with ODT Young Company artists at ODT Studio Theatre.

After that, Hai Anh’s “Yen Lam” piece will be presented at the International Choreographers' Platform at Victoria Theatre on August 18.

The shows offer international guests and art lovers an opportunity for involvement, exposure and action in community and culture through the art of dance.

This unique journey will evoke emotional connections, memories and shared experiences by stimulating all senses.

Some of the most exclusive parts of “Yen Lam” will be performed later in HCM City in October 2018.

Born in October 1990 in HCM City, Hai Anh started dancing at the age of three and turned professional when she was 12.

The talented dancer graduated from Vietnam Dance College and has won a number of prestigious dancing contests, including silver female senior award at the Korea International Modern Dance Competition 2012 and first prize at "So You Think You Can Dance Vietnam 2015".

Speaking to the Daily, Dr Danny Tan, founder of Odyssey Dance Theatre Ltd, explained why he chose Hai Anh for the festival: “Last November, we invited Hai Anh to Singapore. We were really impressed with her attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, and ability. We would be very happy to see how she introduces Vietnam’s traditional culture in Singapore and brings wonderful experiences to the audience.”

The biennial DanzINC - International Dancers & Choreographers’ Residency Festival focuses on collaboration, relationship building and audience engagement with comprehensive programming across six months and a strong message “Dancing Souls in Resonance IV”.

The event is organized by Odyssey Dance Theatre Ltd, one of Asia Pacific’s foremost full-time professional dance organizations.

Aligning with Odyssey Dance Theatre’s values of Open, Drive and Transcend, six major platforms with six productions will present perse works by several reputable international dance companies and artists at small to major theatres from several countries./.
