Vietnamese Embassy Partners with Special Ukrainian School

In accordance with the cooperation program between the Embassy of Vietnam in Ukraine and the specialized high school 251, a Cooperation Agreement in the period 2021 – 2026 was recently signed at the headquarter of the Embassy of Vietnam in Ukraine.

In accordance with the cooperation program between the Embassy of Vietnam in Ukraine and the Kyiv-based specialized high school 251 that was named after President Ho Chi Minh, the signing ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement in the period 2021 – 2026 at the headquarter of the Embassy of Vietnam in Ukraine. At the ceremony, the Embassy of Vietnam also conferred awards to the students partaking in the creative contest about President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam, which was launched by the Embassy in June 2021.

From the Embassy of Vietnam, Ambassador of Vietnam to Ukraine Nguyen Hong Thach and other staff members attended the ceremony. From the specialized High School 251 named after President Ho Chi Minh, the school’s principal, Larisa Panteleivna, teachers and over 20 students who entered the contest about Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh were present.

Addressing the event, Ambassador Hong Thach praised the cooperation between the specialized high school 251 and the embassy in honoring President Ho Chi Minh, teaching Vietnamese and promoting the cultures of Vietnam and Ukraine, contributing significantly to maintaining and developing the comprehensive partnership between the two countries.

The ambassador expressed his joy towards the proactive and creative participation of High school 251 students in the creative contest about President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam. 24 entries were sent to the Embassy in various forms, such as arts, sculpture, poems and handicrafts.

Ambassador Hong Thach believed that these works showcased the understanding and sentiments of the participants for Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh.

On behalf of the embassy, the ambassador highly praised the participants’ efforts and conferred certificates of recognition and presents to all students who entered the contest.

Following the award ceremony, Ambassador Hong Thach and High school 251 principal Larisa Panteleivna signed the cooperation agreement between the embassy and the school in the period 2021 – 2026. Both parties decided to co-organize the launching of the Vietnamese language club at the specialized high school 251 named after President Ho Chi Minh tentatively in mid-September, depending on the Covid-19 situation in Kyiv.

The Embassy and the High School 251 expressed their hope that the cooperation between the Embassy of Vietnam in Ukraine and the school would be carried out more often and continuously with the new cooperation agreement and the launching of the Vietnamese Language Club in 251, contributing directly to maintaining and enhancing the traditional friendship and cooperation in culture and education between Vietnam and Ukraine.

At the end of the ceremony, the Embassy of Vietnam organized a party to introduce to the school’s teachers and students about Vietnam’s traditional food.
