Vietnamese, Indonesian artisans present traditional batik, brocade art
Artisans from Vietnam and Indonesia have shared experience during the ‘Cultural Exchange through Batik and Brocade Weaving’ held in Buon Ma Thuot city, the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak.

During the three-day event from December 21-23, the artisans presented traditional techniques in dyeing and weaving process of batik art of Indonesia and brocade of E-de ethnic people in the Central Highlands region of Vietnam.
The event featured batik artists Nurul Kartika Sari and Miliana Ragil Sumirat showing audiences how to make batik, while brocade artisans of E-de ethnic group H’yam Bkrong and H’ Soat Eban did the same for their art.
The event was an opportunity for exchanges between artisans of Vietnam and Indonesia.
The Indonesian Embassy in Hanoi, Trung Nguyen Legend Company and World Coffee Museum jointly organised the event.
