Vietnamese, Korean Youths Engage in Cultural Exchange

The activities are expected to help enhance mutual understanding between the people of Long An and Chungcheongnam and consolidate cooperation and friendship between the two localities.
Long An and Chungcheongnam established cooperative ties in May 2005. Since then, progress has been made in the bilateral ties, especially in cultural exchanges, exchanges between young people, public administration and education.
Many Chungchenongnam delegations have visited Long An over the past years, and engaged in various activities, contributing to promoting the friendship between youths of the two sides.
This year’s activities take place in Thu Thua district, mainly at Bo De Phuong Duy School and Thu Thua High School, until August 5.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Long An Pham Van Hau said such activities target local disadvantaged children, equipping them with social skills.
They have promoted cultural understanding and friendship between the two provinces, he added.
Last month, students from the Kookmin University of the RoK also rendered volunteer services at the Tan Hoa Primary School in Tan Hoa commune, Hanoi’s Quoc Oai district.
As part of the Sungkok Global Volunteer (SGV) program launched by Kookmin University, the volunteer activities took place at the Tan Hoa Primary School in Tan Hoa commune, Quoc Oai district.
The volunteers engaged in many activities like wall painting and exchanges with 125 local pupils, focusing on the topics of environment, the Korean language, music, design, and technology.
Notably, the local pupils were guided to classify waste and introduced to the Hanbok, the traditional costume of the RoK.
The volunteers also held cultural and sport exchange activities, featuring Taekwondo, K-POP, and swimming./.
