(VNF) – The Vietnamese movie ‘American Dream’ will be screened in the US and Canada, starting on January 5, 2018.

The movie is a joint product by Vietnamese actress, film producer Mai Thu Huyen and the Vietnamese American director Davina Hong Ngan.

"American Dream" tells a true story of Hoang Linh (Mai Thu Huyen), The Vinh (Binh Minh) and Peter (Kyo York), three young Vietnamese doctors, who are dedicated and kind-hearted doctors, have been struggling with numerous challenges to follow their dream in the host country.

The idea of filming “American Dream” was brewed by Davina Hong Ngan in over 6 years, inspired by her experiences as a Vietnamese living in America. The bitterness and loneliness facing those who are away from homeland has propelled Davina to return to Vietnam to film the movie.

The movie has been screened in Vietnam since December 8 and will be screened in US, Canada on January 5./.
