Vietnamese representative’s national costume for Miss Grand Int’l unveiled
The Vietnamese representative, Phuong Nga, has revealed the national costume that she will wear at the ongoing Miss Grand International 2018.
It is unveiled that the national costume, designed by Khanh Shyna, the main theme of the costume is royal yellow and is made of brocade and traditional silk.
It took the designer just three days and three nights of hard work to complete the costume.
Khanh Shyna says the dress is inspired by the phoenix-one of four sacred animals according to Vietnamese belief.
He adds that the five phoenixes on the dress symbolize strength and power of the Nguyen Dynasty.
The national costume contest is scheduled to take place on October 12.
Nga, 20, is a student at National Economics University. She’s from Hanoi and is 1.72 meters tall and measures 84-64-92. In Miss Vietnam 2018, Phuong Nga was named in top 3 of the Miss Sport and Miss Talent sessions.
The fan’s of Phuong Nga’s have been very supportive and complimentary towards her after seeing images of the pageant in Myanmar.
Nga shows confidence and energy whilst taking part in the activities of the pageant. She shines alongside her new international friends.
Miss Grand International is one of the largest beauty contests in the world and has been organized annually since 2013. The beauty contest is among the five most prestigious international pageants, according to Global Beauties.
In 2016 Vietnamese representative Nguyen Thi Loan finished in Top 20. Last year Nguyen Tran Huyen My was among Top 10 in the first-ever pageant held in Vietnam./.
